The Carmelite Institute of Spirituality was created in 1991. It is located in Cracow, 18a Rakowicka street. It is associated with the Institute of Spirituality which forms part of the Papal Department of Theology Teresianum in Rome. Its basic activity is:
- two years long course Studies of spirituality which gives the foundation of christian spirituality and offers deeper studies on some aspects of it.
- the organisation of series of lectures called Formation for consecrated life, presenting some selected aspects of consecrated life in theological and practical perspective.
- running the Center of Consulting and Formation which provides individual spiritual and psychological assistance.
Moreover, every year our Institute organises so called "Spiritual Days", and occasionally different symposiums and sessions.
The publishing offer of Carmelite Institute of Spirituality consists of two series: "Formacja zakonna" [="Religious Formation"] and "Karmel żywy" [="Living Carmel"], annual Itinera Spiritualia, and other books.
Carmelite Institute of Spirituality is cooperating with The Pontifical Academy of Theology in Cracow.
